Athletic and Graceful
The QX80 Autograph has got it all: a confident, athletic stance and graceful exterior details. It’s a perfect example of form and function working together to achieve maximum visual impact.
The Evolution of Design
The QX80 Autograph represents the evolution of INFINITI’s design language. New signature elements fit together seamlessly to create an exterior that is both powerful and graceful with precisely crafted details.
Signature Details that Set the QX80 Autograph Apart
Illuminated 3D Emblem
To celebrate this new era for INFINITI design, a new 3D version of our emblem sits proudly on the double-arch grille. It’s a reminder that INFINITI is always moving forward.
Digital Piano Key Taillights
The signature digital LED taillights are divided into short segments which activate independently to create different lighting signatures. The result is a more shimmering and calming display, like light flickering on water.
Forest-Inspired Grille
Nature was a strong influence when we designed the radiator grille – the vertical lines were inspired by the grandeur of a bamboo forest.
JAPANESE ARTISTRY
We’d Like to Introduce you to Ma, Utsuroi and Kabuku
As a Japanese company, every design we produce, every stitch, every panel and every bolt we engineer is influenced by Japanese design philosophies such as Ma, Utsuroi and Kabuku.
Ma is the Mastery of Empty Space
Ma means using the space in between things to give things ‘room to breathe’. By avoiding clutter or the temptation to over-adorn things, it not only creates a more serene experience, it also allows you to focus on the essence of the design. You’ll see evidence of it throughout the QX80 Autograph.
Utsuroi Means Forming Seamless Transitions
From the long, straight hood which flows into the distinctive grille, to the roof pillars which have been made to look invisible so the roof seems to ‘float’ above the body, you’ll find examples of utsuroi – the beauty of a seamless transition – throughout the QX80 Autograph.
Kabuku is About Creating Something Extraordinary
We always strive to create something extraordinary. This philosophy is called Kabuku. Designing to surprise and delight. You'll see it expressed in every detail of the QX80 Autograph’s exterior.
Sunset-Inspired Body Colour
The QX80 Autograph is finished in a striking new color called Akane. It was inspired by the serene moment at sunset when it transitions from a warm glowing red into the night sky.
Kimono-Influenced Panoramic Roof
If you look closely at the QX80 Autograph’s panoramic roof, you’ll see it has a pattern motif. This was influenced by the lines and folds on a kimono.
Lights That Welcome You As You Approach
The front and rear digital lights can transition through different lighting signatures. So for example, when you approach, you get a ‘welcome’ sequence and when you step away you get a ‘farewell’.
Turbine-Influenced Alloy Wheels
When designing the QX80 Autograph’s alloys, our team was inspired by modern wind turbines. This led them to create the unusual red inner section. The alloy’s blade design comes from the propellors on wind turbines.
Klipsch® Reference Premiere Audio System
The 2025 INFINITI QX80 will feature the segment exclusive Klipsch Reference Premiere Audio System, powered by Panasonic.
